- **Plan:** your projects' quotas come from your plan. At 70% the admins get a warning, at 85% an alert (the marks on each bar).
## The project's settings {#project-settings}

The project's own settings (level, who can see and edit it, its home and landing pages, and the rest) are one topic, **Settings:PROJECT**. Find it with the search (*Project › Settings*). It opens as an **editor**, not as text:

- **Live switches** come first: **Auto-release**, **Batch processing** and **Processing**. They take effect the moment you flip them. They aren't part of the settings topic, so flipping them doesn't make a new version of it.
- Then each setting is shown as its own control, in the topic's order, with a line saying what it does: a choice to pick, a page to search for, an on/off switch. A setting your project's template fixes shows 🔒 *from the template* and can't be changed here.
- Any notes written between the settings show as written.

Change what you like, then press **Save** in the bar at the bottom; **Discard** undoes. Both stay greyed until you change something. One Save is one new version, in the topic's history. Making the project public, or lowering its level, asks you once first.

d2 checks what you save. If a value doesn't fit (a level that doesn't exist, a home page that isn't there), nothing is saved and the line says why and what would fit. A line d2 doesn't know is kept, with a warning. **Open as text** gives you the plain editor, with the same checks.
